So Couture at the Mandarin Oriental

There’s only so far that a true haute couture enthusiast can be satisfied with simply wearing the clothes; eventually, one has to get hands-on to truly appreciate the artistry behind them. Luckily, this is now an option for those staying at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, who find the shopping and luxury has become too much and want to get in touch with their inner craftsman. The hotel’s new So Couture by Ecole Lesage package includes two nights’ stay and breakfast as well as a private two-hour embroidery course at Ecole Lesage, the maison that has worked since 1924 with the great and good of the fashion world. Guests will also fashion themselves a handmade bracelet to take home with them, meaning if anything has eluded them shopping on the Champs-Elysées, they can take matters into their own hands—literally.
