It’s been three years since Shrimps exploded onto the fashion scene in a psychedelic whirl of cuddly, faux-fur squishiness. Since then, its founder Hannah Weiland has been called an “It Designer” by American Vogue, the “first lady of fluff” by the Evening Standard, and earlier this year was shortlisted for the British Fashion Council Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Award. This December, Shrimps are setting up shop on Motcomb Street in Belgravia, in a Christmas installation that will see Weiland’s fluffy vision executed on a grander level that ever before. With an exterior encrusted in snowy white pearls, inside you’ll find floors, walls and furniture all covered in the Shrimp signature faux fur—pale pink in the front room, and mint green in the back. Over a live mistletoe counter, you’ll be able to get your hands on not just her furry accessories, but her ladylike dresses and knitwear, too.
