If you thought the 80s would never come back around, you were wrong. The same was said about the 90s and now, after a 10-year hiatus, we’re all re-embracing the low-slung bootcut. So next year, you’ll likely be teaming your distressed denim with liquid-gold lame, lumbering shoulder pads, and a strong, Joan Collins-style stripe of blusher. You heard it here first. In testament to the audacious style and silhouettes of the era, Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic, known for her bold use of colour, has collaborated with eyewear aficionados Cutler and Gross to create a line of Eighties-inspired sunglasses. Handcrafted by Italian artisans, the geometrically shaped, vintage-inspired frames are rendered in a range of contrasting colour combinations, the standout of which has a light-brown tortoiseshell front offset by a set of electric turquoise arms. Wear them on the weekdays for a touch of nostalgic drama, and, on the weekends, pair them with spandex and puffball sleeves for an all-out revival.—Isobel Thompson
