Marguerite Summer Party

It was former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright who famously said, “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” Marguerite is surely the heavenly counterpoint to Albright’s version of hell. Founded by Frieze-alum Joanna Payne as a support network for women working in fine art, fashion, design, architecture and photography, the idea is to provide a space for young women to meet, share ideas and support each other in their climb to the top (it’s named after Marguerite “Peggy” Guggenheim, the ultimate connector of people). Membership buys you access to numerous events throughout the year, hosted by the likes of Roksanda Ilinčić, Sadie Coles and Mary McCartney, but you don’t actually need membership (or to be a woman) to attend their summer party and see what it’s all about. Hosted with The Outnet, and in support of Women for Women International, there will be food by Arnold & Henderson, delicious cocktails and a brilliantly sparky crowd.
