Donald Draws London Fashion Week

Rihanna wearing Molly Goddard at London Fashion Week

Before Donald Robertson found fame as the fashion world’s artist of choice, he was a middle-aged father of five, living out in the suburbs. He didn’t have any social media accounts, but he did have an obsession with drawing. So, in 2012, his assistant set him up on Instagram, and suddenly, his droll sketches of subjects such as Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld and Kanye West scored him legions of followers, and a raft of collaborations with brands ranging from J. Crew to Smashbox. Naturally, Robertson released his eponymously-titled book during London Fashion Week, published by Assouline. Somewhere between the shows and the parties, he made sure to sit down and create V.F. an exclusive set of drawings, headlined by Rihanna, sporting this frothy, lilac Molly Goddard dress. Scroll down to see more.
